For many, Thanksgiving will look vastly different this year. COVID-19 has put a deep crease in many typical Thanksgiving traditions, changing large in-person get-togethers and long standing traditions for the sake of safety. This has notably affected what Thanksgiving Dinner will look like, or if it is even available for the many that rely on volunteer groups and food shelters for their holiday meal.
Now more than ever the homeless and at-risk members of our community are relying on your generosity. Join Sylvan Learning Middletown in supporting our first annual food drive to benefit The Food Bank of Delaware!! All food items donated will go directly to providing a Thanksgiving Meal to a local family in need.
Thanks to the generosity of community members like us, the Food Bank of Delaware was able to provide 2,528 Delaware families with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner last year. With all of the challenges COVID-19 has presented, that number is expected to greatly increase this year!
